Position Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Tasks: Manage incoming calls, warmly greet patients, schedule appointments, oversee referrals, and handle billing inquiries.
  • Laboratory Responsibilities: Collect and prepare lab specimens, conduct basic tests, dispose of hazardous materials, and sterilize medical instruments.
  • Patient Care Duties: Facilitate patient flow within the clinic, assist with check-ins, prepare examination rooms, respond to patient inquiries, and provide follow-up support.
  • General Responsibilities: Maintain confidentiality of patient information and perform additional clinical or administrative tasks as directed by management.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Capable of working independently and taking initiative
  • Flexible availability for varying shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • Previous experience as a Medical Office Assistant or relevant certification is preferred
  • Familiarity with EMR systems and billing processes is advantageous

Compensation: The hourly wage for this position is set at $19.25 CAD. The final salary will be determined based on various factors, including experience and qualifications.
