Project Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Accountant to join our dynamic finance team at CIMA Canada Inc. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our project portfolio.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely invoicing.
  2. Collaborate with the billing specialist to ensure seamless monthly billing processes.
  3. Contribute to the improvement of Days of Sales Outstanding (DSO) by working closely with stakeholders.
  4. Validate financial controls to minimize errors and maximize efficiency.
  5. Meet with Project Managers to monitor project finances and provide expert advice.
  6. Review contracts to ensure accurate revenue recognition.
  7. Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers.
  8. Ensure project information is up-to-date and accurate.
  9. Comply with CIMA+ internal control rules and regulations.

Qualifications:

  1. College diploma in accounting or equivalent.
  2. Minimum of five (5) years' experience in a similar role.
  3. Experience in a professional services organization is an asset.
  4. Ability to manage multiple project priorities simultaneously.
  5. Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  6. Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written.
