Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled Return-to-Work Specialist to join our team at J.D. Irving, Limited. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the safe and efficient return to work of employees on medical leave.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with employees, managers, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement return-to-work plans.
  2. Conduct ergonomic assessments and provide recommendations to reduce workplace injuries.
  3. Work with Canadian and American worker's compensation boards to ensure compliance and minimize lost time incidents.
  4. Develop and maintain leave practices for occupational and non-occupational illness and injury.
  5. Support the development of return-to-work programs and policies to promote a safe and healthy work environment.

Requirements:

  1. Post-secondary degree/diploma in a relevant field, such as disability management, health sciences, or social work.
  2. 2-5 years of experience in return-to-work, disability management, or a related field.
  3. Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  4. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  5. Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software.
  6. Bilingualism (French and English) is required.
