Job Summary

The Truck Operations Supervisor will provide guidance, on-site leadership, and continuous enhancement of production processes, procedures, and equipment. This role is responsible for supervising, scheduling, and ensuring the safety and efficiency of assigned laborers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Heavy Equipment: Safely operate 2-5 ton picker trucks, telehandlers, skidsteers, and aerial work platforms (AWP) to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Participate in Daily Meetings: Engage in daily toolbox meetings to discuss project progress, address concerns, and set priorities.
  • Conduct Safety Investigations: Participate in safety and incident investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage Client Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Apply Project Procedures: Ensure adherence to project procedures, work site policies, and collective agreement requirements to maintain quality and safety standards.
  • Complete Quality Reports: Accurately complete quality reports and statistics to track project progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Communicate with Supervisors: Regularly communicate work progress and safety performance to site supervisors.
  • Maintain Equipment: Ensure all equipment and tools are in good working condition and report any issues to the lead hand.
  • Perform Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to company housekeeping standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Hold a valid CSTS, H2S Alive, Fall Protection, AWP, and First Aid certification.
  • Experience: Possess two to three years of experience as a Crew Truck Foreperson in pipeline or facility construction, or three to five years of experience as a laborer in pipeline or facility construction.
Skills and Abilities
  • Priority Setting: Demonstrate the ability to set and manage priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Coordination and Organization: Possess strong coordination and organization skills to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Communication: Exhibit effective written and verbal communication skills to interact with clients, colleagues, and supervisors.
  • Valid Driver's License: Hold a valid driver's license to operate company vehicles.
  • Pre-Employment Testing: Successfully complete a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
