Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Cash Handling Specialist to manage customer transactions effectively in a fast-paced retail environment. This role is essential for ensuring smooth operations at the point of sale.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is an asset
Work Environment

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate the cash register efficiently
  • Process various forms of payment including cash, cheques, and credit/debit cards
  • Scan items accurately
  • Calculate total payments for goods or services
  • Receive and handle payments
  • Reconcile daily/shift payments with total sales
  • Engage in suggestive selling techniques
  • Maintain cleanliness of the counter area and stock shelves
  • Provide excellent customer service and greet customers warmly
  • Wrap or bag merchandise appropriately
  • Calculate foreign currency exchanges when necessary
  • Monitor entrances and exits, ensuring proof of payment is requested when needed
