Job Title: Chess Instructor

We are seeking a skilled Chess Instructor to join our team at Érable Atlas. As a Chess Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students of all skill levels in the game of chess.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to promote student learning and enjoyment of chess
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to improve their skills
  • Collaborate with other instructors to plan and deliver group lessons and tournaments
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
Requirements:
  • College or CEGEP diploma in a related field (e.g. education, sports management)
  • 3-5 years of experience teaching chess or a related activity
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends
