POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Aircraft Ground Services Coordinator is responsible for managing the execution of various aircraft service operations for airline clients while the aircraft is stationed at the gate. This role involves assessing appropriate aircraft load limits in collaboration with the airline's operational team.
Key Responsibilities:- Facilitates and endorses the local application of the Safety and Service Quality Management System (SSQMS) by adhering to all established policies and procedures.
- Oversees the provision of essential aircraft services, including de-icing, lavatory servicing, and refueling for airline clients.
- Evaluates the capacity for baggage, mail, cargo, and passenger loading based on factors such as aircraft type and prevailing weather conditions.
- Directs Ramp Agents on the proper placement and quantity of items in each aircraft compartment.
- Confirms and authorizes any aircraft servicing performed while at the gate to ensure accurate billing to the airline for services provided.
- Conducts Foreign Object Debris (FOD) inspections in the ramp area between flight operations.
- Ensures that necessary ground support equipment is available in the ramp area and baggage handling area for upcoming flights.
Additional Duties:
- Performs routine administrative tasks, including inspections of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) fluids, cleaning equipment, and clearing debris from the ramp area.
- Collaborates with the airline's operational department to ensure timely loading and departure of aircraft to their next destination.
- Informs flight crews of any conditions that may impact their flight operations.
- Acts as a liaison with the airline's local management and operational teams.
- Provides assistance to ramp agents with ground handling tasks as required.
