As a Sanitation Team Member, you will report directly to the Sanitation Team Leader and play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within our facility. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the Sanitation Operator in the thorough cleaning of industrial ovens, machinery, and equipment, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and in accordance with the standards set by FGF Brands.

This position requires collaboration within a team environment, where you will support your Team Leader by fostering a spirit of teamwork and mutual respect among all team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety protocols, and health & safety regulations.
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of equipment, machinery, floors, and utensils throughout the facility.
  • Support the Line Leader in cleaning production and packing lines as required.
  • Ensure timely disposal of waste materials.
  • Verify that all equipment and areas are cleaned according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Utilize equipment such as Sky Jack to access hard-to-reach areas for cleaning.
  • Work collaboratively with various internal teams to achieve sanitation goals.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures related to sanitation and safety.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Team Leader.

Qualifications:

  • A strong desire to pursue a career in manufacturing and sanitation.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Possession of a Scissor Lift license is advantageous.
  • Experience in a sanitation role using CFIA-approved chemicals is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Physical capability to meet the demands of the role.
  • Flexibility to work weekends as needed.
