12 Month Engineering Co-Op Position

Skyworks is a leading innovator of high-performance analog semiconductors, powering the wireless networking revolution. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled University Student to join our Diversified Analog Solutions team in Ottawa for a 12-month work term.
Key Responsibilities:- Contribute to the research and development of advanced RF integrated circuits and modules in the area of wireless technology.
- Conduct lab tests on RF circuits, present and interpret measurement data, and participate in design reviews.
- Assist in new product engineering and design activities.
- Support full-time engineering group members with project assignments.
- Complete small projects and task assignments of varying complexity.
- Currently enrolled in an MS or PhD Electrical Engineering (or related) degree program.
- Experience with RF lab equipment, including oscilloscope, signal generator, spectrum/signal analyzer, VNA, etc.
- Basic knowledge of RF/analog circuits and principles.
- Solid understanding of S-parameters and electromagnetics.
- Desirable knowledge/experience includes familiarity with ADS, Cadence, or similar simulation tools, and electromagnetic simulation tools such as ADS Momentum/EMX/HFSS.
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic, willing to work in a hands-on environment, and possessing strong time management skills, good communication, organization, and documentation skills.
A competitive hourly rate of CAD $44.00, with starting base pay dependent on level of education and job duties. A dynamic and collaborative work environment, with opportunities for professional growth and development.
