Job Overview:
As an Information Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for the strategic planning, design, development, maintenance, and implementation of effective information and operational systems that support the core functions of the organization in collaboration with the Systems Architect.
• Evaluate, implement, and provide support for network hardware, software, and systems.
• Address day-to-day technical issues and inquiries.
• Follow technical guidance from senior personnel.
• Oversee the administration of LAN/WAN systems, including internet connectivity and communication.
• Manage the installation, support, and lifecycle of servers, PCs, printers, and peripherals, including wireless networks and access points.
• Administer disk storage requirements for file and database servers.
• Assist in monitoring and enforcing company standards.
• Collaborate with the Systems Architect on all network modifications and upgrades.
• Create technical documentation and manuals, and assist with user training.
• Ensure system reliability through redundancy, backups, and security measures.
• Oversee and support all in-house voice architecture, including maintenance and upgrades of all phone systems.
• Manage and support the wireless phone system.
• Ensure compliance with backup procedures for proper data management.
• Coordinate all internal and external audits with the Area Leader.
• Assist ERP analysts with Windows Server and SQL Server issues.
• Support all external network links and WAN connectivity.
• Collaborate with the RF Champion to evaluate and troubleshoot wireless handheld devices and printers.
• Conduct system security checks based on established security protocols.
• Provide assistance for server infrastructures at both hardware and software levels.
• Advise on the procurement of hardware, software, and peripherals, coordinating with contractors to complete projects in alignment with IT management.
• Uphold Sarbanes-Oxley IT Standards and Best Practices.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workplace at all times.
• Adhere to all operational procedures and policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook and Quality and Environment programs.
• Post-secondary education in an IT-related field.
• A minimum of five years of experience as a systems analyst in IT within an automotive or related manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with Windows Server (2000/2003/2008/2013), Microsoft SQL Server, domain controllers, Active Directory, and networking applications.
• Experience with relational databases (MSSQL) is an asset.
• Familiarity with PowerBI and SSRS is a plus.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong analytical capabilities.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Demonstrated effectiveness in a team environment.
• Willingness to work overtime to meet organizational needs.
