Job Summary

School District #48 (Sea to Sky) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate On-Call Education Assistant to provide support to students with physical disabilities and chronic health issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Under the direction of the Principal(s) and general supervision of the Classroom Teacher(s), provide assistance to students with physical disabilities and chronic health issues.
  • Work collaboratively with educational teams to develop and implement individualized support plans.
  • Provide physical support and accommodations to students as needed, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents to ensure seamless support and coordination.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance knowledge and skills in supporting students with diverse needs.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
  • Experience working with students with physical disabilities and chronic health issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to perform duties required by the position.
