Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Associate Vice President to lead our audit team in Canadian Business Banking. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a risk-based audit plan, providing strategic guidance and independent oversight, and identifying control gaps and recommending improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a risk-based audit plan for Canadian Business Banking, including credit risk management
- Lead a team of audit professionals to deliver high-quality audit services
- Identify and assess risks, and recommend controls to mitigate them
- Provide regular reporting to governance committees, including Audit Committees
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and issue resolution
- Stay current on evolving regulatory expectations and industry practices
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in audit, risk management, or a related field
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
