We are seeking a highly skilled Forestry Project Manager to join our team at Wright Canada Holdings Ltd. As a Forestry Project Manager, you will be responsible for providing professional-level supervision and endorsement for timber development and silviculture projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert-level supervision and guidance for timber development and silviculture projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Develop and implement safety and environmental performance plans, monitoring and reporting on progress.
  • Oversee quality control and implementation, ensuring that all projects meet the highest standards.
  • Review and approve professional documentation related to timber development and silviculture, including reports and plans.
  • Engage with stakeholders and clients to understand their needs and provide expert advice on forestry management and related areas.
  • Provide guidance on vegetation management, silviculture, and related areas, ensuring that projects are executed in a sustainable and responsible manner.
  • Prepare site plans and cutting/road permits, process field data, and organize deliverables to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Act as a primary intermediary between GIS and clients, ensuring that all project requirements are met.

Requirements:

  • Registered Professional Forester (British Columbia) certification.
  • Degree in Forestry or Natural Resource Management.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar position, with a strong understanding of forestry management and land use planning.
  • Associated forestry field experience is an asset.
  • Comprehensive understanding of British Columbia Forest Management and Land Use Planning, B.C. General Appraisal System, cutting and road permit acquisition process.
  • Ability to mentor junior RPFs and other junior Forest Professionals.
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers' License.
