Role Overview

The Sales Development Manager will operate within the automotive OEM parts sector, focusing on one of our prestigious global automotive clients. This field-based position is tasked with driving sales to both existing and potential high-value parts customers through OEM Trade Parts Dealers. The role emphasizes strengthening client partnerships and boosting overall sales revenue and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enhance and support trade parts sales via OEM Trade Parts Dealers.
  • Implement operational sales initiatives to meet targeted sales goals.
  • Identify and secure new high-potential Key Accounts with OEM Trade Parts Dealers.
  • Expand OEM parts market share in competitive environments.
  • Analyze spending patterns to prioritize customer engagement with the highest growth potential.
  • Provide competitor market intelligence to the Regional Account Manager.
  • Monitor performance metrics and KPIs of OEM Trade Parts Dealers to ensure targets are met.
  • Conduct regular visits to existing and new high-potential Key Accounts to foster OEM parts growth.
  • Establish long-term business relationships with Key Account stakeholders.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for the OEM brand in the field.
  • Develop joint action plans with OEM Trade Parts Dealers to address customer feedback and devise countermeasures.

Candidate Profile (Essential Qualifications)

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Sales Development Manager within a large automotive parts wholesaler or OEM network, with comprehensive IAM knowledge.
  • Proven ability to increase OEM market share against OES competition.
  • Strong understanding and experience in engaging with various independent repairers.
  • Innovative approach to discovering and onboarding new customers.
  • Extensive knowledge of the automotive parts sector (OEM/OES).
  • Demonstrated success in sales and achieving targets.
  • Capability to negotiate deals at senior stakeholder levels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple high-priority projects.
  • Proficient in MS Project, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Willingness to travel within the designated territory.

Reporting Structure

Reports to the Regional Account Manager

Working Hours

Full-time (40 hours per week), with flexibility for overtime as needed.
