Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Body Technician to join our team at Saunders Motors Co. Ltd.. This role involves the meticulous repair and restoration of vehicle body components, ensuring high-quality standards are met.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
Work Environment

The work environment can be noisy, requiring attention to detail and the ability to focus amidst distractions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and organize the workspace for optimal efficiency.
  • Guide and mentor apprentices in body repair techniques.
  • Replace damaged front end components, body panels, doors, and underbody parts.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by filing, grinding, and sanding.
  • Utilize masking and taping techniques to protect areas during painting.
  • Repair dents and imperfections using appropriate tools and methods.
  • Remove and replace damaged fenders, panels, and grills.
  • Fix or replace interior components as necessary.
  • Repair or replace damaged windows, windshields, and sunroofs.
  • Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired finishes.
  • Use soldering equipment or plastic fillers to address holes and seams.
  • Straighten bent frames using specialized equipment.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods.

Experience

Applicants should have 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in automotive body repair. This is a permanent position with a standard work schedule of 35 hours per week.
