About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sushi Chef to join our team at Sushi S Japanese Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality sushi dishes to meet the expectations of our discerning customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation

Plan and prepare menus that showcase our restaurant's commitment to quality and freshness. Determine the size of food portions and costs to ensure profitability and customer satisfaction.

Staff Training and Supervision

Train and supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to prepare and cook high-quality dishes. Provide guidance and support to ensure seamless kitchen operations.

Inventory Management

Maintain accurate inventory records of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure efficient ordering and minimize waste.

Cleanliness and Safety

Ensure that the kitchen and work areas are clean and safe for staff and customers. Implement and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Recruitment and Hiring

Recruit and hire staff who share our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. Conduct interviews and make recommendations for hiring.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience

2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role

Language

English

Work Hours

30 to 40 hours per week
