Facilities Maintenance Technician

JOB SUMMARY:

The individual in this role is tasked with executing a range of routine and general labor activities pertinent to the operation and upkeep of SaskPower's facilities and infrastructure.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:


• Engage in various manual construction, maintenance, and service tasks, utilizing both hand and powered tools and equipment, including light-duty mobile machinery.

• Operate, monitor, inspect, and repair vehicles, equipment, and tools, including analyzing and diagnosing equipment issues while implementing corrective measures as necessary.

• Manually move, sort, and stack materials and products.

• Secure necessary permits and perform authorized switching operations.

• Contribute to preventative and corrective operational and maintenance initiatives.

• Maintain accurate files and records associated with the role.

• Provide on-the-job training and general work guidance to colleagues as needed.

• Assist other departments internally and externally as required.

• Comply with all relevant safety and environmental standards, regulations, and corporate commitments.

• Engage in ongoing educational and professional development as necessary.

• Keep a clean and organized work environment.

• Perform other related tasks as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:


• Must be capable of fulfilling the physical demands of the position.

• Ability to collaborate and interact courteously with others.

• Proficient in effective communication, both verbally and in writing.

• Possession of a valid Class 5 driver's license.
