Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Analyst to join our R&D tax team. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with various business segments to identify and claim R&D tax credits. Your expertise will be essential in helping us navigate the complex tax landscape and maximize our tax benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Project Identification and Analysis

Meet with engineering team leads and project managers to gain a comprehensive understanding of the projects undertaken and identify how they meet the various R&D guidelines.

Technical Report Writing

Write and review compelling technical project reports to highlight the key technical factors of customer and internal projects, supporting R&D tax claims.

Tax Authority Engagement

Prepare persuasive responses to challenges by the tax authorities regarding the technical merit of a project.

Relationship Building

Build and maintain relationships with engineering and finance staff to provide high levels of service to the business units and corporate group.

Knowledge Adaptation

Adapt and flex existing knowledge to different business segments and build on core capabilities.

Training and Development

Training will be provided in the financial and tax implications, preparation, and reporting aspects of the R&D benefits to ATS.

Travel Requirements

Occasional travel to the US and Europe may be required.

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with a degree or diploma in a technical area (science and/or engineering) and experience in the science, technology, or engineering industry. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. Past R&D tax experience is advantageous but not required.
