We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical / Tunnel Engineer to join our team at Aldea Engineering Services Ltd. in Toronto, ON.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering and tunnel design, with a strong background in project management, technical writing, and communication. The ideal candidate will be able to lead tasks, produce technical deliverables, and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Develop proposals, cost estimates, and schedules for tunnel and trenchless projects.
  • Technical Deliverables: Produce geotechnical engineering calculations, technical memoranda, and reports.
  • Communication: Communicate technical and non-technical information to clients and stakeholders.
  • Geotechnical Engineering: Design and construct tunnel and trenchless projects, including transit, municipal water, and wastewater conveyance facilities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • 10+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering and tunnel design.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng) or equivalent.
  • Strong project management and technical writing skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Civil, Geological/Geotechnical, or related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in tunnel and trenchless projects.
  • Experience with delivering tunnel and trenchless solutions for projects in soft ground and hard rock.
