Job Title: Project Engineer-In-Training

Startec Compression & Process is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer-In-Training to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for providing technical support and contributing to the design, development, and implementation of packaging solutions for our products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the review of process simulation and ensure the completion of additional process design tasks.
  • Prepare 3D models, GA, structural drawings, and spool drawings according to customer specifications and in-house guidelines.
  • Participate in 3D model review meetings with designers and manufacturing personnel to ensure compliance with design review checklists.
  • Assist in marking up P&IDs and coordinating revisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovative design solutions and optimize package efficiency.
  • Manage and assist with technical and manufacturing issues on multiple projects.
  • Provide engineering support to the Service department during equipment commissioning and start-up.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement initiatives of the Engineering Department.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Enrollment as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or ability to obtain EIT status.
  • Previous experience working in a gas processing and manufacturing related industry is considered an asset.
  • Basic knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Project management skills, including the ability to manage timelines, budgets, and resources.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer focused.
