The Lac La Ronge Indian Band's Education department is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Early Childhood Program Supervisor to lead our team at the Mikisew Awasis Early Learning Centre in La Ronge, SK.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and manage a team of Early Childhood Education Program Staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality programs.
- Review and verify staff timesheets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Coordinate staff scheduling, support, and on-call staff coordination to ensure seamless program delivery.
- Assist childcare staff in planning and implementing activities that meet the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of children in the program.
- Ensure the cleanliness, maintenance, and safety of equipment and facilities at all times.
- Develop and implement daily, monthly, and yearly plans to achieve program goals and objectives.
- Ensure staff adherence to personnel policy manual, childcare policies, and guidelines.
- Assist the Early Childhood Program Manager with administrative duties and responsibilities.
- Develop and maintain accurate and confidential client files.
- Compile and analyze monthly and yearly statistics on program participation, costs, and maintenance.
- Ensure the Early Childhood Education Program meets health, safety, and licensing regulations.
- Participate in workshops, meetings, seminars, and conferences to enhance professional development and stay up-to-date on industry best practices.
- Minimum of Level 3 Early Childhood Education Diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience in managing Early Learning Centers.
- Experience in developing programs for the center is an asset.
- First Aid, CPR, and Safe Food Handler's Certification are assets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with personnel, parents, and children.
- Patience, caring, loving, compassionate, and a genuine enjoyment of working with children.
- Strong computer and technology skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Valid Driver's license.
- Satisfactory criminal record and vulnerable sector check, and Driver's Abstract required upon hire.
- A combination of education and experience may be considered.
