Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Stone Fabrication Specialist to join our team at 10486043 CANADA INC.. The ideal candidate will possess a secondary school graduation certificate and have a minimum of 7 months of relevant experience in the industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Model and Mould Construction: Create clay models and moulds for casting concrete products.
  • Stone Cutting: Utilize blade or wire saws to cut stone blocks to precise dimensions.
  • Manufacturing Documentation: Maintain records of production details including quantity, size, and type of goods.
  • Machine Operation: Set up and operate automatic machines for mixing ingredients and cutting clay.
  • Concrete Processing: Adjust and operate machines for mixing, drilling, grinding, and cutting concrete.
  • Frame Construction: Build and repair wooden frames for moulding concrete products.
  • Quality Control: Inspect products to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Material Handling: Move products using forklifts, cranes, or hydraulic hoists.
  • Surface Finishing: Operate machines to grind and polish stone surfaces to achieve desired finishes.
  • Pottery Production: Use mechanical or hydraulic presses to form pottery and porcelain items.
  • Sandblasting: Operate equipment to engrave inscriptions or designs on stone.
  • Machine Maintenance: Perform regular adjustments and maintenance on machinery.
  • Reinforcement Placement: Position reinforcing rods or wire mesh in moulds.
  • Slip Preparation: Prepare and mix slip for pottery production.
  • Mould Filling: Fill moulds with concrete or slip as required.
  • Lathe Operation: Use stone-dressing lathes for sharpening grindstones.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, schemas, and drawings.
  • Kiln Operation: Operate kilns to bake clay products to specified hardness.
  • Drilling: Use machines to drill holes in stone blocks or slabs.
  • Concrete Settling: Operate vibrating tables to settle concrete.
  • Finishing Touches: Apply finishing touches to stone products, including spray painting and mounting plaques.
  • Concrete Tamping: Tamp concrete using electric vibrators.
  • Mould Removal: Safely remove castings from moulds.
  • Surface Finishing: Finish surfaces of castings using screeds or trowels.
  • Pipe Cutting: Cut cured concrete pipe sections and assemble fittings as needed.
Work Conditions

This is a permanent position requiring 40 hours of work per week. The primary language of work is English.
