Senior Process Engineer Position Overview

Saltworks Technologies Inc is seeking skilled Senior Process Engineers to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in detailed process engineering, optimization techniques, and a commitment to mentoring less experienced engineers.

While prior experience in water treatment is advantageous, it is not a strict requirement. You will work closely with a team of industry experts and leaders in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead the design processes for lithium recovery and advanced desalination facilities through the application of our modular water treatment technologies.
  • Conduct thorough research on process equipment options and specifications to determine the most suitable technology for each project.
  • Contribute to the innovation and development of new product offerings.
  • Manage daily tasks such as designing process solutions, developing mathematical models, creating and maintaining Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), sizing equipment, and participating in Process Hazard Analysis.
  • Possess hands-on experience in the commissioning, operation, and troubleshooting of water treatment systems.
  • Drive pilot testing and innovation by understanding client needs, formulating test plans, and executing them with specialized support.
  • Analyze operational data, provide recommendations, and contribute to ongoing technology advancements.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • A degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or Integrated Engineering, accompanied by relevant process design experience.
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in process or chemical engineering within an industrial context.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on guiding and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Proficient in developing P&IDs, ideally using AutoCAD P&ID or similar software.
  • Excellent command of English communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities.
  • Practical skills in tooling and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks, maintain attention to detail, and rapidly acquire new skills.
  • A positive mindset, proactive approach, and a willingness to assist when necessary.
