As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children, in collaboration with our experienced early childhood educators.
- Supervise and train staff, trainees, or volunteers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide exceptional care and support to our children.
- Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children, and provide guidance and support as needed.
- Lead activities that promote learning and development, such as storytelling, singing, and outings to local points of interest.
- Order supplies and equipment to ensure our programs are well-resourced and effective.
- Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in maintaining accurate records and reports, and provide support with data collection and analysis.
- Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits, and provide support with daily routines.
- Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems, and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors as needed.
- Participate in staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children, and contribute to the development of strategies to support their needs.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children, to ensure a cohesive and effective approach to child-care.
- Plan and maintain a safe and healthy environment that protects the well-being of children, and ensure compliance with licensing regulations.
- Plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours, to support their learning and development.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants, to ensure effective program delivery.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Early Childhood Program Supervisor who is passionate about delivering high-quality child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. You will have a strong background in early childhood education, and experience in supervising and training staff. You will be a collaborative team player, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements- Child Development Supervisor (ECE Level 3) certification
- 2-3 years of experience in early childhood education, with a focus on program development and supervision
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, staff, and community service providers
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality programs and services
