Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the management of all business systems change requests related to the market data redistribution service.
- Facilitate collaboration with essential stakeholders and development teams to identify, analyze, and define business requirements for the integration of new data sources, vendor files, data types, or customized client needs.
- Execute data mapping requirements from market data vendor specifications into the internal database framework.
- Investigate and assess existing operational processes to design technical solutions aimed at enhancing operational efficiencies.
- Manage the complete change request lifecycle, including analysis, requirements gathering, business testing, and implementation, while coordinating between business operations and development teams.
- Track and prioritize all change requests for management reporting purposes.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Market Data, Financial Services, or with Market Data Vendors, along with a University degree or College diploma in Business, Mathematics, Economics, or a Finance-related field, or equivalent work experience.
- A comprehensive understanding of securities market data, financial instruments, and asset classes, including fixed income, equities, and derivatives, with successful completion of the Canadian Securities Course being essential for this role.
- Experience working with market data vendors is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage within a small internal team and with clients.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to meet deadlines successfully.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with SQL, Mongo query tools, and Jira is considered an asset.
