About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to join our team at Smash Kitchen and Bar. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and presentation.
  • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation to minimize waste and optimize costs.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform kitchen operations.
  • Prepare and submit reports to management on kitchen performance and areas for improvement.
  • Establish work schedules to ensure adequate staffing and minimize overtime.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees

  • Assisting with immediate settlement needs, such as housing and transportation.
  • Supporting social and labour market integration through access to community resources, language training, and skills training.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • English language proficiency.
  • Ability to work 30-40 hours per week.
