Brandt is seeking a Service Manager for our Barrie Construction & Forestry location.
The Service Manager will oversee the sales and delivery of heavy duty equipment after-market support services, including component diagnostics, repair, and replacement. This role involves managing all aspects of the service department and day-to-day activities of foremen, leadmen, service writers, and shop, field, and resident heavy duty mechanics.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage service workflow and ensure adherence to established standards and policies.
- Develop and manage the Service Department budget to meet financial and operational goals.
- Prepare quotes for customer work orders and oversee the opening and closing of work orders.
- Inspect and operate customer equipment to resolve concerns and diagnose issues.
- Monitor service revenue and expenses on a monthly basis.
- Ensure work is performed according to established safety and industry standards.
- Review employee performance against goals on an ongoing basis.
- Maintain a high-performance Service team through hiring, training, coaching, mentoring, and performance management in a safe environment.
- Effective communication and professionalism when interacting with customers, employees, and branch personnel at all levels.
- Self-motivation in learning and applying new knowledge and skills, with a willingness to share knowledge with others.
- Ability to travel to customer worksites and operate or work on or around heavy equipment as required.
- Proficiency in using work-related desktop applications and web-based productivity applications.
- Confidence, critical thinking, knowledge, and technical skills to assess and solve customer, business, and personnel problems effectively and efficiently.
- A recent driver's abstract will be required.
