Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Procurement Strategy to enhance our Packaging supply chain, manage vendor partnerships, and refine our comprehensive sourcing operations. Reporting directly to the Director of Strategic Sourcing, you will create and implement a strategic plan aimed at optimizing our cost efficiency, product quality, supply chain reliability, and innovation in product development. As a vital member of the Procurement team, your contributions will be essential in delivering exceptional value to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement innovative packaging solutions that provide distinct value to our customers while fostering continuous enhancements across our packaging.
  • Formulate and execute a sourcing and supply chain strategy that streamlines processes, mitigates risks, and boosts profitability.
  • Utilize extensive internal data and industry benchmarks (including market, supplier, and SKU analysis) to drive ongoing improvements, uncover cost-saving opportunities, and establish best practices.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, both internally and with our suppliers, through data-driven reporting, effective project management, and the identification of new capabilities and processes that enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Lead packaging initiatives alongside a dynamic cross-functional team to tackle unique packaging challenges and develop innovative solutions.
  • Guide and mentor a team of direct and indirect reports.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert in all aspects of packaging procurement.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, supply chain, or a related field (CPM certification or MBA is advantageous).
  • Over 8 years of relevant experience, particularly in management consulting, project management, or strategic sourcing.
  • Strong understanding and enthusiasm for strategic sourcing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proven experience in managing and leading teams of direct and indirect reports.
  • Quantitative and analytical skills, with proficiency in G-Suite, Excel, Tableau, and procurement systems.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate and convey a strategic vision to stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • A passion for solving complex and ambiguous challenges in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.
