Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Shipbuilding Specialist to join our team at Commodore's Boats Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling and fitting metal structures, operating heavy-duty equipment, and ensuring the highest quality standards in our shipbuilding process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lay out reference points and patterns to ensure accurate assembly
  • Study engineering drawings and blueprints to determine material requirements and ensure compliance with specifications
  • Assemble and fit metal plates and sections to form structures, using welding or bolting techniques as required
  • Operate heavy-duty metal-working machines to fabricate and assemble components
  • Construct patterns and templates to ensure accurate fit and finish
  • Install fabricated components in final products, ensuring a high level of quality and attention to detail
  • Rig, hoist, and move materials to storage areas or within the worksite, ensuring a safe and efficient workflow
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required; willingness to train and learn
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week, with a permanent work term
  • English language proficiency
