Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Shipwright, Metal to join our team at Commodore's Boats Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling and fitting metal structures, studying engineering drawings, and operating heavy-duty machines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lay out reference points and patterns to ensure accurate assembly.
• Study engineering drawings and blueprints to determine material requirements and plan work efficiently.
• Assemble and fit metal plates and sections to form structures, using welding or bolting techniques as required.
• Set up and operate heavy-duty metal-working machines to fabricate components.
• Construct patterns and templates to aid in the assembly process.
• Install fabricated components in the final product, ensuring a high level of quality and attention to detail.
• Rig, hoist, and move materials to storage areas or within the worksite, maintaining a safe and organized workspace.

Requirements:

• No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but a willingness to learn and train is essential.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week, with a permanent work term.
• Fluency in English is required, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and management.
