Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Instructor Opportunity
NAIT's Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) program is seeking a qualified instructor to contribute to the development of the next generation of industrial mechanics and millwrights.
About the Role:
- Teach and mentor students in a classroom, laboratory, and industry setting to foster their growth and success
- Develop and implement curriculum, assessments, and evaluations to ensure student achievement and progress
- Facilitate the learning process through effective instructional strategies and educational technology to enhance student engagement
- Provide coaching, tutoring, and support to students to maximize their potential and promote academic excellence
- Maintain accurate records and submit reports as required to ensure program effectiveness
- Collaborate with colleagues and industry partners to ensure program relevance and excellence, and to stay up-to-date with industry developments
- Participate in professional development activities to improve instructional quality and stay current with best practices
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Completion of a related Alberta Journeyperson certificate or provincial equivalent, including Inter-Provincial Red Seal (an asset)
- Minimum 5 years of recent industry experience after completion of Journeyperson certificate
- Teaching experience (an asset)
