About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team at Salt & Pepper Canada Limited. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other financial documents.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounting and Auditing: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and perform audits to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Payroll and Benefits Administration: Process payroll, manage benefits, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Analyze financial data, prepare financial reports, and provide recommendations to management.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
  • Skills: MS Excel, MS Word, attention to detail, fast-paced environment, repetitive tasks, tight deadlines, accurate, dependability, flexibility, judgement, organized, reliability, time management.
