Exciting Opportunity in Real Estate Development

This is an exciting opportunity for a practical, results-driven lawyer to join the legal department of a growing company in the important real estate development sector, building and operating purpose-built rentals from concept to completion.

In this role, the successful applicant will have the opportunity to build a legal career in an important and growing real-estate space while helping to deliver the housing that Canadians need.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide accurate, timely, and practical legal advice to all departments within the organization
  • Manage external litigation counsel in all areas of litigation, including construction and personal injury
  • Draft and review litigation documents, including notices of civil claim and responses to civil claim
  • Work closely with other members of the legal team
  • Draft legal agreements and other legal documents
  • Manage risk as a facilitator of business operations
  • Actively participate in building and maintaining a positive office environment
