Animal Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Animal Care Attendant to join our team at the BC SPCA. As a key member of our animal care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of the animals in our care.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the animal enclosures and facilities
- Provide exceptional care and attention to the animals, including feeding, watering, and exercise
- Monitor the health and welfare of the animals and report any concerns to the Animal Centre Manager
- Assist with animal adoptions, including preparing animals for adoption and providing information to potential adopters
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Class N or 5 BC Drivers' License and driver's abstract
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects
- Basic knowledge of animal behavior and welfare
