Job Overview:

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting proactive and reactive security patrols during assigned shifts and responding effectively to incidents. Your duties will include writing reports and investigating routine occurrences, as well as managing emergencies swiftly and efficiently. Physical fitness is essential, as you will be required to stand and walk for extended periods.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivering exceptional service to improve the customer experience
  • Ensuring adherence to standards, rules, and regulations at the property
  • Proactively assisting everyone to have a positive experience
  • Conducting visible patrols of designated areas on foot and engaging positively with tenants, guests, and employees
  • Maintaining awareness of activities and events at the property to assist visitors
  • Managing vehicle traffic on the premises
  • Performing physical activities including extended walking, standing, and basic motor skills
  • Maintaining records and logs through regular keyboarding
  • Enforcing property standards and regulations in a reasonable manner
  • Utilizing tact and diplomacy in various situations
  • Responding to medical emergencies and providing first aid until professional help arrives
  • Implementing access control procedures
  • Understanding emergency and standard operating procedures
  • Addressing trespassers in a fair and safe manner
  • Assisting with Fire & Life Safety inspections
  • Keeping a detailed memo book and preparing incident reports
  • Investigating incidents and occurrences
  • Drafting comprehensive incident reports
  • Maintaining the peace and security of all patrons and clients
  • Monitoring CCTV surveillance systems
  • De-escalating emergency situations
  • Assisting emergency and law enforcement personnel
  • Supporting daily operations as required
  • Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
  • Willingness and ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods (8-12 hours)
  • Demonstrated professionalism
  • Minimum of 1 year of prior security experience
  • Experience in physical or mall security is advantageous
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, indoors and outdoors
  • Ability to handle stress and make sound decisions under pressure
  • Comfortable working in busy, populated areas
  • Clean driver abstract
  • High attention to detail and observational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
