Mental Health Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Clinician to join our team at The Alex Community Health Centre. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing evidence-based therapies and support services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality, client-centered care.
- Develop and implement individualized service plans that address the unique needs and goals of our clients.
- Provide culturally sensitive and trauma-informed care to our clients, including those with complex mental health and substance use issues.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to inform treatment planning and ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.
- Work collaboratively with clients, families, and community partners to achieve treatment and recovery goals.
- Facilitate group programming and provide education and support to clients and their families.
- Participate in data collection and entry, as well as quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standards of care.
- Master's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field.
- Eligibility for registration with a relevant professional discipline in Alberta.
- 2+ years of experience as a Mental Health Clinician, preferably in a community health setting.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapies, including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and solution-focused therapy.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with best practices in mental health care.
This role requires the ability to work in a high-stress environment and manage complex client situations with compassion and professionalism. You will be required to work collaboratively with clients, families, and community partners to achieve treatment and recovery goals.
