What is the significance of this role within the organization?

As a key member of the Asset Management Services team, you will be instrumental in ensuring the precise management of client fee-based assets, contributing to the overarching aim of augmenting fee-based assets and revenues at Raymond James Ltd.

What responsibilities will you undertake?

  • Oversee incoming trade instructions via email from third-party managers participating in the SMA program, as well as from internal portfolio managers at Raymond James.
  • Revise models and generate trades for market execution, coordinating with the trading desk for larger orders.
  • Investigate daily asset movements within the SMA program and consolidate bulk trading lists for market execution.
  • Assess foreign exchange exposure and secure rates for all cross-currency transactions.
  • Identify and rebalance accounts with surplus cash on a quarterly basis.
  • Conduct quality control assessments on trades.
  • Compile and distribute weekly/monthly reports.
  • Support various projects and initiatives related to fee-based accounts.
  • Assist with a range of additional tasks associated with all fee-based platforms.

What do we expect from you?

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree.
  • Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH) is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 2 years of industry experience in trading discretionary accounts utilizing a model-based approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) with a readiness and capability to learn new applications.
  • Familiarity with Dataphile, Croesus, or similar service providers is beneficial.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work within deadlines in a high-volume, demanding environment while maintaining a high level of service and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Exhibit professional email, videoconferencing, and telephone etiquette along with strong relationship management skills.
