Position Overview
The Client Financial Reporting Manager will report directly to the Director of Financial Reporting and will oversee accounting responsibilities related to the preparation and auditing of financial statements for clients, specifically focusing on unregistered investment entities such as hedge funds and private equity funds.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the comprehensive process of preparing financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and ASPE for various clients.
- Enhance and standardize the reporting process to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the Fund Accounting team and supervise junior staff to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal protocols.
- Draft disclosures for financial statement notes based on legal documentation and update the presentation of financial statements to align with new accounting standards.
- Maintain ongoing communication with clients and auditors to facilitate effective planning and resolution of issues.
- Provide mentorship and training to junior Financial Reporting staff, overseeing their performance and development.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Accounting.
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation in Canada or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation in the U.S.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting, specifically auditing financial statements for investment companies, or equivalent experience in fund administration.
- Expertise in U.S. GAAP, particularly ASC 946 related to Investment Companies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to thrive under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively.
