Job Title: Hardware Store Clerk

Rivest et fils St-Félix is seeking a skilled Hardware Store Clerk to join our team. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate computerized inventory record keeping and re-ordering systems to ensure accurate stock levels and efficient ordering processes.
  • Provide expert advice to customers on merchandise, including product features, benefits, and applications.
  • Perform data entry tasks to maintain accurate records and support business operations.
  • Offer exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  • Assist in the display of merchandise, including setting up displays, maintaining visual merchandising standards, and ensuring a visually appealing store environment.
  • Greet customers, discuss their needs, and provide recommendations on products or services.
  • Prepare merchandise for purchase, rental, or lease, including processing transactions and handling customer payments.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a retail or sales environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on customer service and sales.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
