Overview

KPMG Canada is seeking a talented individual to join our dynamic Cyber Security Practice in Ottawa or Halifax. As a Senior Consultant, you will be part of a diverse and dedicated team of problem solvers, working on various cyber security client engagements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with clients to prepare them for ISO27001 certification or perform ISO27001 gap analysis exercises
  • Support and lead ISO27001 certification audits
  • Execute cyber maturity and gap assessments against industry standards such as ISO27001 or NIST CSF
  • Assist clients with Business continuity planning reviews
  • Perform Privacy Impact Assessments for clients
  • Create and/or assess cyber policies, practices and governance
  • Deliver multiple client engagements of varying size, scope and complexity
Requirements
  • Knowledge in one or more of the following areas would be an asset: ISO implementation or auditing, Business Continuity/ISO22301, Privacy Regulation and compliance, Security Risk Management
  • Preferably a Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or relevant degree subject, but we welcome people from all subjects if you have a passion for Cyber Security
  • Ideally at least 3 years' experience in Cyber Security, either in industry or a consulting role
  • Completion of, or in the process of completing, one of or a combination of the following designations; ISO27001 Lead Auditor, CIPP/C, SSCP, CISA, CISM, CISSP
  • A good understanding of various IT infrastructure systems and components (servers, firewalls, network, etc.)
  • Ability to work both independently, with little supervision and within a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills being able to express insights, both written and orally
  • Attention to detail and strong organization and analytical skills
  • Strong understanding of business risks and audit risks
  • Ability to obtain Government of Canada clearance (preferred)
