Key Responsibilities

As a Construction Laborer and Helper, your tasks will include:

  • Loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials.
  • Erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, and barricades.
  • Mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete and asphalt.
  • Assisting in the alignment of pipes during pipeline construction.
  • Helping with the framing of houses, erecting walls, and constructing roofs.
  • Leveling earth to meet fine grade specifications.
  • Paving and raking asphalt.
  • Assisting in the demolition of buildings.
  • Cleaning and organizing salvaged materials.
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks.
  • Cleaning up chemical spills and other contaminants.
  • Removing rubble and debris from construction sites.
  • Directing traffic at or near construction zones.
