The Role: Associate Director, Administrative Technical Solutions

As the Associate Director, you will oversee the University's administrative systems, encompassing a wide range of critical functions. This includes client relationship management, pension administration, health and counseling services, building and security management, parking, ticket management, and business intelligence services and systems. Your responsibilities extend to the selection, design, delivery, continuous improvement, maintenance, and operations of this comprehensive portfolio.

Collaborating closely with University stakeholders, you will develop strategic plans aligned with organizational goals. You will then oversee the development of actionable projects and resource work plans based on these strategic initiatives. Your role ensures that administrative systems and interfaces adhere to ITS architectural principles and practices, maintaining a balanced allocation of technical and functional resources to support the Department's overall objectives.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Computing Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, coupled with eight years of relevant experience in areas such as applications development, particularly within enterprise applications. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the post-secondary education or public sector.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing or supervising operational teams for at least three years, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • A deep understanding of strategic planning and the provision of administrative systems and services.
  • Extensive knowledge of software system development and management, business analysis, IT project management, and IT system architecture.
  • Proficiency in understanding business requirements and best practices for deploying open-source, commercial, and in-house applications.
  • Exceptional leadership, analytical, and change management skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with diverse individuals and groups, effectively navigating competing interests and fostering positive change.
