Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Retail Operations Supervisor to oversee our retail establishment. This is a permanent position with a commitment of 40 hours per week.

Work Environment

The role will be based in a non-smoking retail service establishment located in a rural area. The position requires on-site customer service and involves managing a gas bar.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff, including apprentices and sales personnel.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to sales associates.
  • Recruit, train, and develop team members.
  • Manage inventory and order merchandise as needed.
  • Authorize returns and manage customer service issues.
  • Establish work schedules and ensure adherence to them.
  • Prepare detailed reports on sales performance and personnel matters.
  • Resolve customer complaints and supply shortages effectively.
  • Maintain an organized inventory system.
  • Handle cash management and financial transactions.
Supervision

This position involves supervising a team of 3-4 individuals.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess a secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience. A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience is required.

  • Proficient in MS Outlook and other relevant technologies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated reliability and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to multitask and make sound judgments.
