About the Role:
This team sits within the global enterprise operations organization, managing all technology/Infrastructure in multiple countries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct a team of Middleware & UNIX SME responsible for operating and maintaining the Middleware Systems, concurrently implementing, tuning, and supporting UNIX systems and servers, ensuring optimum levels of availability and security of core global business applications.
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders (Enterprise/Infrastructure architecture, Software development, IT Service delivery) to drive strategic initiatives.
- Oversee Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP)/Business Continuity Planning (BCP) initiatives to ensure minimal disruption to business operations.
- Accountable for problem/incident management resolution, ensuring timely and effective resolution of technical issues.
- Ensure all systems under administration are compliant with policies, standards, licensing agreements, configuration guidelines, and best practices.
- Develop and maintain excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences, effectively conveying complex technical information.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of hands-on technical working experience in various areas of enterprise server support, maintenance, and administration.
- 3+ years of technical leadership experience.
- Several years of hands-on technical working experience with IBM Power Servers, POWER9, and AIX systems administration.
- Expertise in managing Middleware (IBM WebSphere and/or IBM MQ) systems.
