The BA Blacktop Group of Companies is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to support our financial operations.
The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for executing accounting and administrative tasks that guarantee precise handling of financial data.
Key Responsibilities:
All duties necessitate a high degree of precision to ensure the accurate processing of information.
- Processing A/P invoices: aligning packing slips with invoices, securing approvals, data entry, organizing files, preparing vendor payments, executing payment runs, and performing account reconciliations.
- Addressing inquiries related to accounts payable.
- Providing assistance with reception duties as needed.
- Additional tasks: executing journal entries, supplying data for budgeting, ensuring proper tax application, offering information and support to other departments, and carrying out other clerical tasks as required.
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a comparable position.
- High level of accuracy for the correct processing of information.
- Intermediate proficiency in computer applications (including MS Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Ability to utilize enterprise-level financial record-keeping software, spreadsheets, and email applications.
- Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
- Capacity to manage a substantial workload within set deadlines.
- Outstanding organizational and time management abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Completion of post-secondary accounting courses.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience in construction or manufacturing sectors.
- Proficiency in English and MS Office applications.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
Compensation: A competitive salary and benefits package will be provided, commensurate with experience.
