Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Recruitment Specialist to join our team at Extendicare Canada Inc. As a key member of our Resident Care Leadership Team, you will play a critical role in leading clinical recruitment efforts for our Long-Term Care Homes in Ontario.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive operational excellence in recruitment and retention, fostering a culture of service excellence and building capacity to deliver optimal services to our communities.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of our Long-Term Care strategic plan through efficient operationalization of clinical recruitment strategies.
  • Leverage data and analytics resources to develop new insights into our business and drive improvement initiatives.
  • Support home leadership teams to review and address operational barriers to recruitment and retention of frontline staff.
  • Establish effective workflows and accountabilities for recruitment processes to ensure recruitment effectiveness.
  • Assist homes with candidate management and interviews, ensuring a positive and consistent candidate experience.
  • Establish local candidate pipelines to expand and diversify talent pools through various partnerships and event participation.
  • Offer consistent and meaningful coaching and capacity building to LTC home leaders in recruitment best practices and Workday processes.
  • Identify skills and/or knowledge gaps within the team, including succession planning for key roles.
  • Support hiring managers in establishing sustainable recruitment processes and team engagement strategies that empower team members to deliver their best work.
Requirements
  • Expertise in recruitment and retention strategies with demonstrated success.
  • Expertise in Workday HR modules, including recruitment.
  • Regular business travel required across Ontario, Manitoba, and Alberta, as well as occasional travel to the Markham Head office.
