Our client is in search of a Chief Financial Officer to become a vital member of the executive leadership team. This role encompasses the management of financial strategy, risk assessment, operational efficiency, human capital, and information governance. The position will require collaboration with the Board and the Audit and Risk Committee.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Providing strategic direction and mentorship to foster employee engagement and operational excellence.
- Overseeing financial governance and decision-making processes.
- Being accountable for budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and resource allocation.
- Managing cash flow and ensuring investment viability.
- Supervising financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.
- Leading both internal and external audit processes.
- Overseeing human resources functions, performance evaluation, and talent acquisition.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory policies and practices.
- Directing the Corporate Services division and facilitating effective communication.
- Implementing risk management strategies and overseeing outsourced services.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Degree in finance or accounting is preferred.
- Strong technical proficiency in ASPE and internal control frameworks.
- Prior experience in risk management, human resources, and policy development.
- Outstanding communication and organizational capabilities.
- Familiarity with provincial non-profit organizations.
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to cultivate relationships.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks.
