Role Overview
The Senior E-commerce Solution Architect will be pivotal in crafting and delivering holistic e-commerce solutions tailored to our clients' needs. This position demands a thorough understanding of e-commerce platforms, digital technologies, and architectural frameworks. The ideal candidate will possess a proven history of leading technical teams and successfully managing complex projects within budget and timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Solution Design and Architecture:
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient e-commerce architectures.
- Lead the development of architectural blueprints and technical documentation.
- Ensure alignment of solutions with business goals and client requirements.
- Guide cross-functional teams throughout the project lifecycle from conception to completion.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to developers, engineers, and team members.
- Ensure timely achievement of project milestones and deliverables within budget constraints.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with clients to identify their business needs and translate them into technical specifications.
- Present architectural designs to clients and stakeholders, ensuring clarity and consensus.
- Maintain robust relationships with clients, vendors, and partners.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in the e-commerce sector.
- Advise clients on technology selections and strategic initiatives.
- Contribute to the firm’s technology roadmap and innovation strategy.
- Quality Assurance
- Implement and uphold best practices for software development and architecture.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure compliance with coding standards.
- Guarantee the security, performance, and scalability of e-commerce solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- At least 7 years of experience in solution architecture, particularly in e-commerce.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing technical teams.
- Successfully overseen the implementation of three or more B2B or B2C e-commerce solutions.
- Strong knowledge of e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud) and common integrations such as ERP, PIM, and payment gateways.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities.
- Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in relevant e-commerce platforms or cloud technologies.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD methodologies.
- Understanding of SEO, web analytics, and digital marketing principles.
