Job Title: Greenhouse Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Greenhouse Manager to join our team at Livingstone Outdoor. As a key member of our horticulture team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our greenhouses, ensuring the health and productivity of our plants, and implementing sustainable gardening practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement greenhouse operations, including crop selection, soil preparation, and irrigation systems.
  • Monitor and maintain greenhouse conditions, including temperature, humidity, and light levels.
  • Supervise and train staff on greenhouse operations, including pruning, fertilizing, and pest management.
  • Develop and implement sustainable gardening practices, including permaculture and organic methods.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and achieve business goals.
  • Manage inventory, including ordering and receiving supplies, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in greenhouse management or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of horticulture, including plant biology, soil science, and entomology.
  • Experience with sustainable gardening practices, including permaculture and organic methods.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to train and supervise staff.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on attention to detail and quality control.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to off-site locations.
