Position Overview
The Maintenance Assistant will work in the shop, keeping the area clean, washing equipment, and working with the technicians in a safe, efficient, and productive environment. The role involves assisting the Mobile Maintenance team with various tasks, including shop upkeep, delivery and pick up of parts, and moving major components.
Key Responsibilities
- Aid with shop upkeep, including cleaning shop floors and emptying receptacles;
- Delivery and pick up of parts around the site;
- Washing equipment prior to servicing;
- Moving major components to designated locations;
- Assisting mechanics with other various tasks when required.
Requirements
- Excellent listening and communication skills;
- Ability to lift, carry, and complete physical labor work;
- Able to work in an environment of teamwork, trust, respect, and diversity;
- Previous experience working in mining is an asset;
- Previous experience working with mobile maintenance is an asset.

Additional Information
The company provides travel to and from the Ekati mine site out of Calgary, Yellowknife, and other northern fly points. Preference will be given to qualified applicants from our Impact Benefit Agreement (IBA) Groups.
